We are keen on having a logo with something (e.g., a light bulb, gears) that suggests "intellectual property," but we do not want a logo that will make potential customers think we are a patent drafting law firm. We are primarily litigation and do not do patent prosecution. We do not want to use the symbols for copyrights, trademarks, or patents in our logo because it will suggest we do patent drafting (also called patent prosecution).
Ideally, we would like the logo to suggest/imply nimbleness/efficiency as well as some notion that we primarily do IP litigation.
A fundamental requirement is that "Cabello Hall Zinda" has the CHZ emphasized/distinguished because we will be referred to by those initials. For example, the logo could have "Cabello Hall Zinda" arranged diagonal from each other with an emphasis on the first letter of each name "CHZ." Any design should have the CHZ stand out somehow.
We would like to have two different "categories" of logos to pick from. The first category would have something (e.g., gear, lightbulb, etc.) that suggests we are IP. For example, the logo could have "Cabello Hall Zinda" arranged diagonal from each other with an emphasis on the first letter of each name "CHZ" and a meshed/interlocked gears for each of those three letters (i.e., so the gear for C is interlocked with the gear for H and the gear for H is interlocked with the gear for Z). Gears suggest "well oiled machine" and, to some extent, intellectual property (since it involves engineering). This is just one example, and we certainly do not want to limit your creativity. You may come up with much better designs, this is just something to help you understand our thinking.
The second category would just be whatever the designers come up with entirely on their own, based on the color/logo choices we submitted.
I have included some "inspirational" images, but they are certainly not intended to be particularly limiting with regard to what we are looking for.
