***UPDATE 2/5/ 9:20 EST*** FINALISTS CHOSEN
WINNING ENTRY WILL BE EITHER RBM's OR KEEGAN
I want a design that looks clean, forward looking, and simple. A good letter-mark, probably incorporating "p" and "c" should be included. I'm very focused on having you make subtle changes to a great typeface.
My business will be in a liberal northeast metro region, and I want to appeal to educated buyers - those who will pay for an environmentally sound and local product.
all lowercase, one word "printcycle"
2 color for printcycle (see above), all black for MICR SECURE
Possibly italicized "cycle"
very minimal serif's
No shading. It doesn't *have* to be totally flat, but it should be unless shadowing really does add to the overall design. But I think flatness will help with platform neutrality. If possible, I like negative space that hints at things - maybe hinting at the recycling symbol, a leaf, or some other "green" Imagery?
I will need a word-mark for a sub-brand, to be called MICR SECURE by printcycle. I plan for separate stationary for this sub-brand. I will be selling MICR (check printing) toner cartridges, and want a separate sub-brand to convey that i'm serious about it. Attached files have starting points for MICR SECURE by printcycle. MICR will be in MICR-type font.
"MICR SECURE check print solutions" should be ALL BLACK.
MICR <---- top line
SECURE <--------- middle line <<-------- first two lines should be equal length
check print solutions <----- bottom line
Winner will be chosen on printcycle, as MICR SECURE should be fairly easy. See attached file - this is the MICR secure draft - it's 90% there. I would like the MICR font thinned out a bit, to more resemble actual MICR numbers (see link).
In the above link, the wavy-green check background might be a nice touch behind SECURE. And that's pretty much it for MICR SECURE.
For newer entries, I recommend focusing on printcycle first, and if things progress, we can handle MICR SECURE as well.
Will be using design terms from:
