Note: the photo of a t-shirt that I've attached is not a request to include that artwork in the logo, rather to give you an idea for a piece of art we used back in 2010. We like the feel of the logo, but not the "white fishermen with spearguns and pistols hunting sharks" notion so much.
The name "Coast Busters" is a nod to the movie Ghostbusters, of course, so a red circle going through something is appropriate. The 223 mile run is a grueling relay from the Capital of Texas to the Coast. It's hot, humid, and dusty, while also being beautiful during sunrise and sunset, and cool whenever there's a breeze. The reference to "dodging chupacabras since 2010" is a reference to all of the wild dogs and other animals we encounter, as well as the roadkill we inevitably run past/over... and nighttime running by yourself on a moonless two-lane backroad in South Texas surrounded by nothing but fog is a lonely feeling... If you can capture the essence of a group of 3 people in running gear under a red circled chupacabra (ala Ghostbusters). Each of the runners could have a different accessory: headlamps, a machete, bear/pepper-spray, lots of reflective gear, sunglasses, one dude with a long hipster (forrest gump) style beard, a trucker hat, etc.
Note: the team is usually 3/4 men 1/4 women, so 2 dudes and a lady runner would be much cooler than the "three white dudes hunting fish" t-shirt idea that's attached ;)

We will be using this logo on t-shirts, hats, and stickers and we'd like it to last, so please and thank you in advance!
