The 105th Lighting of the Green and Lights On Festival is a community festival with Downtown performances, activities and family entertainment. The event is free for children and sponsored by local businesses. The City of Taunton is known as the "Christmas City", and this event draws over 10,000 residents and visitors. This year's event and display theme is being inspired by the movie, "It's a Wonderful Life".
