The product: A steam cooking back for veggies or meals. This bag goes in the oven or the microwave and uses steam to cook the contents of the bag. (I've attached pictures of the bag).
SmartCook has a couple possible meanings. Cooking in a bag in the microwave is the smart way to cook because things are ready more quickly and with little to no mess. Additionally, steaming veggies allows them to retain more of their nutrients than if they were boiled. Meats like fish or chicken retain more of their moisture. These bags are the smarter way to cook and make their user a Smart Cook!
The main use for that bag is to be used in grocery stores. Retailers prep veggies in store for customers to buy.
The end user(s): The primary end user of the bag is the grocery store customer. (More women than men). This product is a value-add product. Because the veggies are cut in store they are considerably more expensive than normal vegetables. Therefore we are targeting the more affluent buyer. She is most likely a busy mom who wants her family to eat well but doesn’t have time to prepare a bunch of vegetables.
There is a second use for the bag and that is in industrial kitchens. Hotel kitchens and restaurants also use these products. While these customers will be less likely to care about the look of the bag, focusing instead on the function, they should not be completely ignored.
UPDATE: I have uploaded some logos that I like. I really like how clever some of them are. Some have cooking utensils in them (whisks, spatulas, ect.) please don't use any of these things in the design. The idea is the bags require no prep so we don't want to put anything in the design that would make people thing they are going to need to cook a meal. Forks, knives and plates are ok.
