Info for Logo design:
The company is call Hup Consulting
Hup Consulting will be a recruitment consultancy that specialises in the following sectors:
Sectors, sub-sectors and descriptions……..
Traffic Engineering - designing bus lanes, cycle schemes (lanes/ parking), traffic calming – anything that is traffic/ transport related on the highway. The job involves going out on site, picking up critical dimensions i.e. road widths, then heading back to office and designing a scheme via set design guidelines. Design are typically done on AutoCAD; once a preliminary design is completed it is then consulted on (a traffic Engineer may also be involved in project managing the implementation of the scheme).
Highways Engineering – broken into two areas:
1) leading on detailed design, taking preliminary design from Traffic Engineers and producing a 3D design, Cross sections, etc… that is good enough to use to build the road/ traffic scheme.
2) a little more hands on, so being onsite to ensure that road works (new road building, new traffic scheme, maintenance) is going ahead correctly as per design and that the site is safe.
Transport Planning – this is a very broad sector and includes all modes of transport (walking to aviation and all in between) covering: Economics, Transport Modelling, Logistics, Intelligent transport projects, innovation (driverless vehicles, transport App development), sustainable transport
I choose the Hup Consulting as Hup is a term used to encourage a marching rhythm, which sort of suggests a get up and go feel, which is inline with getting a new job and/ or new personnel. It also suggests travel, which is in line with transport and therefore related to the sectors in which we will be recruiting. I also think it is quite catchy. I have included the I-Stock images I intend to use for the Hup Consulting website (at end of this document).
The logo is intended to be a prominent part of the website, but will also be used on company correspondence, so must be effective as a large and small image.
I am fairly open to ideas, but also keen on the following, either:
1. Stickmen - incorporate a stickman onto the Hup Consulting, where the text for Hup consulting looks very formal/ professional, with the stickman looking less so, a juxtaposition I think they call it??!!! I think its better to have big text for hup and small for consulting. It would also look good (perhaps) to use lower case for the hup and to have long necks/ tails for the h & p (if that makes sense) allowing space to incorporate the stickman/ men.
2. Putting feet on the bottom of the h and p of hup – again giving a feeling of getting up and moving on (in a positive way)
(I have been told many times that designing is not one of my strengths, so more than happy to receive logo designs that do not encompass either of the 2 above, the logo must however attempt to reflect the nature of the business).
The website is yet to be designed, but is likely to use/ look like the following template
