As Barefoot Media Ministry expands, we are uniting two of our newer stations into one "brand" to facilitate economy and growth. These stations will start out as a mini-network with the plan of eventually spinning them both off as independent stations. This brand will be used as we acquire other new stations. We didn't find the logo we wanted - many looked too generically corporate. The purpose of this logo is to attract new listeners by making a statement that makes people want to try the station as soon as possible. Secondarily, it becomes a rally image, the visual representation of the family. Our target audience is women 35-54. They want the best for their kids. They want to be involved in something bigger. They want spirituality and meaning – some want church, some explore their spirituality in other ways. When asked, our listeners use these words to describe the station: Family Peace Love Worship Car Radio Positive Background Noise Loving People Attitude adjustment (mine) Good people Encouragement Inspirational Joyful noise Refreshing The core values that we hold dear are things like hope, family, fun, community involvement, changing people’s lives, community, a family mobilized to reach out. Two big themes are family and community – they are both very core to us. And family can be a single mom, a group of people, a traditional family. We are a Christian station, and spiritual – we talk about the things that matter to people. But the essence of the station is more friendly, cool, informal, fun, brief (rather than preachy and loud and intellectual). We want a logo that tells a story, rather than just a corporate looking swoosh or something that could be on any one of a 1000 companies letterhead. We’re looking for one of two options: 1. A logo that is fun, exciting, and says the core values of the station. We don’t want it to reflect music or an antenna or something like that (logos like these may be eliminated automatically). We’ve fallen in love with the Life is Good type concept – a basic logo with a character/emblem/design (possibly people, although we’re open to other ideas – the people should be fun, contemporary, a bit trendy – I’ve uploadeda jpg of some people designs we like – they tend to be abstract and contemporary – not 70’s looking silhouettes or clipart-ish) that captures the essence of that station with a distinctive font look. That font look could then be used with other images (like a sports graphic for the baseball games we go to, a cross or something spiritual, a jumping up and down guy for concerts, whatever).
