Imagination Radio is a forthcoming podcast created by Contemporaneous, a New York-based ensemble that plays the most exciting music of living composers. The podcast has a musical focus, but it delves deep into walks of life as diverse as rock climbing, neuroscience, and choreography to answer the question: what compels people to create? We strive to create a welcoming, empathetic, fun, fascinating, and ultimately inspiring experience for a curious, adventurous, and primarily young audience.
We would like to go for a specific image in our logo: an all-white or all-black room with a door that is opening to the most beautiful, exciting thing ever. Like a supernova or gorgeous light pouring in. While we will ultimately want a square 1400x1400 pixel image, words and images should be clearly legible when the image is as small as 50x50 pixels or so. As such, very small detail will not be clear on a mobile screen, and the text has to be rather prominent in the image. It is critical that the image is designed to take up the entirety of a square.
You are an artist, so I'm sure people tell you, "Oh, I'm not artistic at all — there's no way I could ever be creative." As musicians, we hear this all the time, but couldn't disagree more. The ultimate goal of this podcast is to show listeners that creativity is fundamental to humanity (and not concentrated in a small percentage of people who identify as artists) and to inspire them to find a way to their own creativity. A successful logo will capture the essence of this goal.
