I work for a real estate company based in Dallas. We specialize in adaptive urban redevelopment, like the Bishop Arts District in Dallas (http://www.bishopartsdistrict.com). We are focusing on redeveloping buildings in a smaller town called Waxahachie, one of which is the famous Rogers Hotel (rumors to have been haunted, hosted Bonnie & Clyde, famous baseball teams used to stay there). The hotel has been refurbished and now hosts small businesses, restaurants, a bar, a cigar bar, a barbershop, etc. We need a tangible logo to be able to make the hotel identifiable. We have a basic theme with our website and signage, and now we would like to expand that into a consistent logo. It's in a small town where people are big on tradition.
**It should be noted that the hotel does not function as a hotel anymore - it is a redeveloped building for other small businesses!**

We are redeveloping a classic, traditional building. We want to keep the historical elements relevant, but also communicate that there is now a breath of new life. Look at the Bishop Arts District, which we also did, for guidance. EDIT: WE ARE NOW GOING FOR MORE OF A BRONZE/BLACK/GOLD/CREAM COLOR SCHEME. Whatever looks the best.
