Fung in the Sun was founded in 2010 by Dr. Jason Fung. Dr. Fung is a Yale-educated dermatologist and a daddy to two darling little daughters. A California-based LLC, Fung in the Sun is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area and makes ultraviolet-protective apparel and accessories for infants and toddlers.
Many businesses have traditionally focused on baby boomers and on ways they may improve their skin, long after damage from the sun has already been done. Given that 80% of our lifetime ultraviolet exposure is estimated to take place before age 18, my business has instead chosen to focus its attention on encouraging good sun-protective habits right from the beginning. I have created an initial line of infant and toddler hats, and am in the process of developing a new sunscreen formulation for kids.
Para hacernos una idea de lo que representa tu marca, dinos qué estilos te gustan
1. The overall aesthetic should ideally be clean and simple, readily conveying to moms, dads and grandparents (target customers) that this is a company whose product line is geared toward infants and toddlers (end users of the products).
2. Something fun and whimsical would be very much preferred. I particularly love a good rebus (e.g., Jack in the Box's logo, which has the name "Jack" literally inside a big red box).
3. Given that this company was founded by a medical doctor, a visual reference to the medical profession would be fine, so long as it was incorporated in a subtle way without compromising the desired fun and whimsy alluded to above.
4. The logo should be versatile enough to look good on anything from a tube of sunscreen to all different kinds of apparel.
