We are a 'soon to launch' eCommerce website, we will be retailing Golf products (i.e. equipment, shoes, clothing). Our unique selling point is the fact that all of our customers orders will be fulfilled by PGA Professionals who own and/or manage their own bricks and mortar Golf Shop.
Our PGA Pros (our stockists) will generally be attached to a Golf Club, most will NOT be retailing online themselves unless they are doing so via the likes of eBay.
The purpose of this business is to allow the Pros to sell online without actually selling online themselves, we'll be doing the selling, they'll be doing the fulfilling.
The target audience of our eCommerce site will be online consumers with a conscience, they like the convenience of shopping online, but they would prefer to support smaller independent businesses where they can. Since the majority of our customers will be Golfers who belong to a Golf Club, the thought of supporting a Pro 'who is just like their Pro' should be in some way appealing to them.
This is a key point...all of orders are fulfilled by Pros...that's why we're calling it buyfromapro.
As an eCommerce retailer, we will NOT be carrying any physical stock ourselves (although this is not important to our retail customers and does not need to be conveyed in the logo).
buyfromapro or buyfromapro.com does NOT have to appear in the logo if the concept can be conveyed in some other way, we would however like to incorporate the strap line "those that know buy from a pro". We have no preference with regard to upper/lower casing.
IF you're thinking of doing a caricature of a Golf Pro, we have some ideas as to how this would look (i.e. well dressed, logo shirt, logo cap, shiny white teeth, square jaw etc). This is not a stated requirement, just a comment if that's what you were thinking.
Ideally 2 versions of the logo should be available with and without the strap-line. The version without the strap-line will be used on Social Media platforms so this abridged version of the logo will most likely be square or circular (like an icon), this version might also used when embroidered on a Golf shirt where the strap-line probably wouldn't be used because it wouldn't very readable when embroidered.
Footnote - most Pros operate from a small Golf Shop, so you might want to consider using an illustration of a Golf Shop...again, this is NOT a stated requirement.
Final thoughts - we have an open mind on this, please do your best to blow it.
