We have had 3 logos since the club was founded and now that the members own the club, they would like a new logo to help rebrand the club. The first logo was designed by the developer and is on our monument sign at the entry. None of the members liked this logo, so they designed a second logo with a palm tree. That was met with mixed reviews, so they came up with a simple logo with just the club initials (HB). This is our favorite of the 3 logos, however it needs more to it (i.e. - a crest or shield around it?) I have attached all 3 logos and some samples of other high-end country club logos that we like.
This new logo will be used in our golf and tennis shops, which is our #1 priority. Some of the items that it would need to look good on include: hats, shirts, sweaters, jackets, leather goods, golf balls, ball markers, towels, bag tags, gloves, misc. accessories and other items. This logo will also go on our website, e-Newsletter and collateral materials including: scorecards, business cards, stationery, signage and other printed materials. Eventually this logo could be used on community signage and the main entry sign.
One key to notice on the sample logos is that the logos have a symbol that represents the club and they use the name or initials of the club. The key is to have a logo that looks good with just the symbol by itself or with the club name. So for example, at Grayhawk, they sometimes have the hawk by itself, at Carlton Woods, the shield with the initials can be by itself, Baltusrol uses the ball and wings by itself, etc. On certain retail items and on certain collateral materials we would use our symbol or shape by itself and in other circumstances we would use the full logo. They need to be interchangeable.
Lastly, we are going to narrow the choices from the 99designs contests down to a final 4-5 logos. We are going to present these logos to our members, so they can vote on the winning logo design for our club. It will be fun for our 1,200 members to be involved in the process.
Thanks for your help!!
**We like several designs we have seen so far, but there are a few more things we would like to see. Please try and use either animals, plants, trees and other items that could signify South Florida (i.e. - palm tree, palm leaves, birds, ocean, etc.).
