We represent the sport of Rugby in Geneva. Our role is to build a world class rugby ecosystem in Geneva. We do this in a number of ways:
1) We are responsible for promoting and building a positive community around rugby. To be inspiring to those who do and don’t currently play or watch the game (both male and female) in Geneva.
2) We are responsible for making the involvement in rugby (playing, watching, officiating, managing and interacting with the game of rugby in Geneva as enjoyable as possible, at all levels (from beginner to National and International Level matches) across the several formats of the sport – XVs, Women’s rugby touch rugby, beach rugby and 7’s.
3) We help all those involved in rugby to aspire to be the best they can be:
a. We identify and select the best 14, 16 and 18 year old players of Geneva to play in teams that we manage. These teams play against the other best players of the different regions of Switzerland. We aspire to consistently create the best teams in the country and nearby region.
b. We train and help our referees to be the most experienced, well trained, professional and fair match officials in the nation.
c. We create an atmosphere for our players and match officials to continue to aspire to go one step further and represent Switzerland
4) We aspire to raise the awareness and credibility of Geneva rugby, both locally, in Switzerland and Internationally. While leading in the development of XVs, Seven, Womens, Youth Development, referee development, infrastructure, and rugby for all, we promote and mobilize strong community action that celebrate the positive values of rugby.
The logo must mean something and stand out for:
The Spectating Geneva Public,
The rugby players and match officials that wear the logo on the shirts they play in,
The children and young people we will be promoting the sport of rugby too.
The mothers & fathers, guardians and influencers of future budding rugby players,
The broader Genevois community that do not know rugby but are passionate about all things Genevois.
