We've selected a general premise of logo that we want. But we are still happy for you to use your creativity and judgement. In general we like having more options, so if you can provide more variations, we might find something surprising that we like.
We want something that will be iconic (potentially famous) but with a friendly, welcoming feeling.
This is the most important factor
The logo needs to look good on our website.
For now the main location for the logo will be our website which uses white a lot, especially as the background (later it will be on business cards, t-shirts etc. which may use other colors). You can now see very preliminary versions of our pages at the locations below. If you resize the page you'll be able to see how it will look for different resolutions:
The logo will replace the text 'tuggl' in the top left of the page, a key feature is that the we don't want the logo to overwhelm the other content on the page. It should blend in with the rest of the page.
When designing the logo please consider how it will look on these pages. Ideally you would take a screenshot of the top left part of the page and place the logo on top of that for us to see.
We have decided on the following logo:
1 - https://99designs.com/logo-design/c…ntries/155
But we feel the style needs to be tweaked. We think it needs a slightly rounder and friendlier feeling.
A few ideas (but don't feel obligated to use them - looking good is more important than following any specific guidelines):
In particular we think the marker icon should not have the dot or the dot should be smaller, and the marker should be wider to make it more subtle and blend in with the bag i.e. the side of the marker should look like the handles of the bag, but again get creative we like the cleverness of this logo (combination of the location market and shopping bag) so just keep that.
Another idea we liked is adding this icon or something similar, on top of a colored 'spash of color' as in this design https://99designs.com/logo-design/c…ntries/167 (but this is just an idea,
Perhaps this can be done beneath (in terms of layers) a simple icon similar to #155.
We prefer a more casual style
Generally a smaller icon and larger text
Icon and text inline ... we think https://99designs.com/logo-design/c…ntries/167 has the right balance of icon + text size
Another thing we like is an icon that can be used independently of the text, if the icon is particularly unique and memorable we'll use it without the text on many of the pages similar to the way Pinterest does it here: https://au.pinterest.com/pin/477240891753644081/
We like rounder, slightly bolder fonts similar to https://99designs.com/logo-design/c…ntries/169, https://99designs.com/logo-design/c…ntries/167 and https://99designs.com/logo-design/c…entries/40
Previously we didn't have any preferences, but we now prefer lower case fonts.
Feel free to experiment, as long as it looks good within the website it's all good.
