Bidhaa Sasa (meaning “Products now!” in Swahili) aims to offer a "one stop shop" service to rural families, households and small businesses in Kenya. They will have access to a range of products and financial options will be available. These goods can include but are not limited to: solar lamps, solar home systems and appliances, such as radios and TVs, efficient cook stoves, water tanks and filters, water pumps, irrigation systems.
For our rural clients these products are expensive and difficult to find. We supply aspirational products. Making them available in instalments will make them affordable to more people and enhance their quality of life.
Solar systems and lamps will bring proper lighting to their homes and replace smoky oil lamps. Cook stoves will shorting cooking time, save money and prevent indoor air pollution. For the logo, maybe think of happy families but don't remind them that they are poor.
We're a for profit social enterprise based in Kenya. The message we want to convey are quality, trust and that we care about our clients. We will be working through local sales agents and eventually want to print T-shirts and caps etc. with the logo to build the brand locally. The T-Shirts cannot be white (as it can get dirty quickly).
The logo should be for a rural audience, both clients and sales agents, who may not be very literate, in a developing country striving for a better life. This is not for a western audience.
