Ask The World is a new social platform for seeking trustworthy opinions from the public online. It is similar in concept to Q&A sites such as Quora or Stack Overflow, but with distinct differences in focus:
1. Instead of focusing on specific solutions or factual truth, Ask The World focuses on collecting opinions from others.
2. Instead of focusing on in depth discussions, Ask The World uses a polling format where answers are mostly just a few words, and respondents are voting on answers.
3. We focus on cultivating an environment of real people voicing their genuine opinions. We allow filtering the results based on respondents' demographic attributes, to remove bias and make the results more applicable to each viewer.
Worldwide population of Internet users who are the “busy everyday people” type who tend to be the silent majority.
The audience we target is specifically differentiated from the “elite knowledge geeks” who tend to populate the existing Q&A sites.

*Please note that the art direction has been changed since the contest was posted. The "style attributes" have been updated, but unfortunately I can't update the "design examples". They no longer accurately represent what I wanted. Please see the attached image instead.
I would like the logo to have a bit of nostalgic feeling that reminds people of the "good times". Yes this is an Internet business but I'm taking a different approach in a world of Twitters and flat designs. However, be mindful that it still needs to work well with younger audience so please don't get too old school.
Imagine you are in a bar or restaurant with a group of friends, and they bring their friends who you have never met before. You all have a good chat and laugh. Some patrons on other tables overheard an interesting topic your group is talking about and joined in. Overall, the conversation isn't very deep or detailed, but it feels genuine and authentic. Everyone is expressing their voices and true opinions. This is the feeling I want to develop on my site.
The logo (or a key part of it) should be adaptable to an App icon.
