Our company, Animal Innovations & Management (AIM), is a boutique manufacturer of high specification, high value nutrition technologies for sheep and cattle production in Australia. Products contain no hormones or antibiotics, and yet our advanced understanding of animal biology, genetics and production ensures that huge gains in meat, milk and wool can be made using our products.
In terms of scientific advancement, we are years ahead of our competition with regard to both the product formulations and the systems and management programs we have developed.
The products are designed to be fed at key production phases in the animal's life cycle - for example, at joining, pre-calving and pre-lambing, weaning, during intensive feeding (feedlot) and prior to transport or yarding.
The main focus of all products is on minimizing stress to the animal - whether physiological or behavioral. In doing that, we ensure industry-leading production gains, improved meat/milk/wool quality and profit for the farmer, and a better quality of life for the humble sheep or cow (millions of which otherwise suffer needlessly every year from poor nutrition leading to painful and often deadly deficiencies and disease). This also has some environmental impacts, as we see less methane production and increased stocking rates on farm without the necessity for further land clearing, as well as better utilization of resources - in other words, less feed and water to produce every kilogram of meat, milk or wool.
We work closely with another great Australian company - Animal Logic Group (ALG) - who are World renowned and provide elite Technical support for our business. We recently partnered with them in a Joint Venture to create CALMAA - which stands for Certification & Advanced Livestock Management Alliance, Australasia.
We have long-range plans for CALMAA, which if successful may bring significant positive change to our industry.
CALMAA is/will be deployed to two main types of customer:
Currently, CALMAA Resellers (actually their staff) undergo extensive ruminant production training in order to become Accredited. With that training they are able to properly represent and support the advanced, CALMAA Approved, AIM "ELITE" product range, and ALG Management Systems that go with them.
Coming in 2014, we will also introduce "Producer Level Certification", where farmers will be able to put their animals through a CALMAA Management System, be scrupulously assessed, and come out the other side with Certification. We have already proved that producers can not only achieve greater productivity from this type of thing, but subsequently have their animals sought after at sale, and sold at a greater profit than untreated animals, thanks to the reputation of the Accreditation System.
SO, I need an amazing logo for CALMAA.
Following that, I will also need a "CALMAA Approved" Mark, but that can be developed later with the help of the lovely designer that provides me with the winning CALMAA Logo.
The character of the logo needs to promote:
Science / Technology / Advanced / Elite
Sense of Authority
High standard of quality
Reliability / Trust
Here are also some other thoughts for inspiration:
CALMAA is designed to Unlock The Potential (of the retail business and/or farming enterprise).
It does this by helping Resellers to differentiate themselves from their competitors. In other words, we've been selling the idea to Resellers that they can "Stand Out From The Crowd". CALMAA systems also promote increases in production on farm, whilst minimising use of resources, which we need if we are going to Feed The World into the future.
You may like to include icons of sheep and/or cattle. That is fine, but be warned - if you do that, they need to be outstanding and unique in their own right. Please do not give me the same tired old vector shapes I could get anywhere.
Well, I hope I've given you enough to go on with. Please get in contact if you need further information.
I have attached AIM's new logo (not rolled out yet). Doesn't hurt if the AIM Logo and the CALMAA logo wind up looking good together, as they will most likely end up together on a lot of our documentation.
I have also attached a "Welcome" brochure that we give to new CALMAA Resellers - it contains info about our company, but also a couple of pages on CALMAA at the back.
Thanks and regards,
