RibbonReady is a website that offers an easy fun way to find gifts for the people you love. The site will offer lots of different types of gifts, so the logo should not be specific to any category.
Above all, the logo should get users excited about buying gifts (target demographic would be anyone but particularly middle-upper class women). Think of seeing a whole pile of beautiful wrapped presents under a Christmas tree - that is the feeling that the logo should convey.
I would like to be able to use the logo as a loading bar, similar to the way Quora's mobile app has a Q logo with a grey dot circling around the Q to indicate when something is loading. So, a nice recognizable present icon that can have its separate sections light up sequentially would be great.
Alternatively, I like logos like wag.com that incorporate a subtle element that has meaning, where you don't see it at first but then there is an aha moment. So another way might be to incorporate a "ribbon" in the logo's characters, like in the two b's maybe.
These are all just ideas, not requirements, so please definitely feel free to be creative and come up with something off the wall and awesome!
