Takt Communications

Takt Communications is a brand new public relations and communications firm located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
We will be specializing in creating communications and public relations strategies emerging and existing small to medium sized businesses. Services include: web development, media and stakeholder relations, brand development, promotions and event management.

I currently use the red tack (jpg of a red push pin attached) as our logo. I'd like a logo that incorporates the red tack and looks clean, creative and hip. Looking for clean, cool, simplicity.

I'm looking for a logo that can be printed in 2-colour to ensure it's not too expensive to reproduce for cards, stationary, signs, etc.

I've envisioned it as red, white and incorporating greys -> black screen? Not sure, though. Use your creativity.

Simple and easy to silk-screen and embroider on promotional items. I need a reversed version as well.

I will be placing the logo in word/pages documents, powerpoint/keynote presentations and other software applications and do not want issues with a white box around the logo when it's imported into applications.

The story behind the name...Tact means to handle a situation with appropriateness, expertise, professionalism and class. Takt is the phonetic spelling of the work tact. There is also the concept called "Takt Time" - which in industry is defined as the speed of production required to meet customer demands.

Why a tack? As a communicator and marketer I am helping companies get their "points" across. Also may be using the concepts of "sharp as a tack" and "getting down to brass tacks" in the marketing of the business.
