As a person, she tends to lean towards earthy palettes and organic designs. But with this assignment, she is feeling that there is a powerful strength in silvers, grays and a touch of red.
We'd like this logo to feel modern, powerful and confident without losing its organic, human roots. This thing needs to reflect Krista's soulful and purposeful spirit, while balancing that with a fierce determination to survive. This logo needs to be able to KICK CANCER's ASS.
LOCKUP vs. INTEGRATED:
We are open to every type of logo exploration. It can be an icon + words (like Target + the bullseye) or just a stylzed version of the words (like Google) or something fully integrated where the words and the icon play off each other in the same lockup/design (like the tyson logo attached).
Feel free to explore anything that comes to mind. This is really wide open.
Below are two directions to consider, but they are not the only options. If one of them inspires you, go for it. If not....do your own thing. We are really looking for variety.
1. The Conch - Krista has always been fascinated with the spiral design of an ocean conch (see some here: https://www.google.com/search?q=con…ch+drawing. She likes how it starts at the center and then winds around. She has used spirals on her work website, where she offers therapeutic healing techniques. So it's always been part of her wellness personality. This could be one possible idea to explore. But it's NOT required.
2. Super K- The day she was diagnosed, her mom bought superman tshirts for everyone. Then her friend took the superman logo and put a K in it as you can see at the link below. We've been using this as a placeholder for only a couple of days. It's not really a logo. It's something fun we're all using on Facebook.
If you believe that you can make it silver and red, then find a way to create a complimentary type treatment for "Krista's Cure", then this can be an option too. Or perhaps we move away from the superman K, but find an alternative approach to creating something that feels superhero-like. It does take super powers to battle cancer, so perhaps her own super hero logo that isn't a superman rip off could be interesting. Again...not required. Just a thought.
