Being in the fishing tackle industry for over twenty years, DUO has come to represent the highest standard in the production of fishing lures, particularly hard baits(made of ABS). Company`s philosophy has been built on the concept of “Nippon Quality”, preservation of manufacturing in Japan(something that stands out particularly now since large majority of companies switched to cheaper production abroad, be it China or Indonesia) and dedication to the concepts of Japanese craftsmanship and attention to details. DUO`s lures are known to combine the form; superbly designed, but practical body outline; with function; supreme efficiency in the water.
In terms of target audience, we do follow the concept of “total package” offering user-friendly and efficient lures for all kinds of fish species; and while the core of the company is premium and focuses on the advanced angler; somebody who can understand and appreciate the point of difference our lure offers; for the future growth it is necessary to also appeal to the wider mass market. At the moment, our products are available in close to 80 countries so the “International” in the logo is justified. Being that our global coverage is wide, we need a mark which would effectively and universally communicate the brand values, with a modern "edge".

We're looking for a "mark" or "symbol" to go along with our current logo. All of our products and packaging already have our logo on it, so we aren't looking for a complete makeover, more of an addition/upgrade of our current logo. (We're open to subtle tweaks of our current logo, however.) What we use now is so-so. We're hoping to see more modern, stylish design ideas.
-Strong, modern, memorable, looks great on apparel and packaging. Not so many fine, thin lines.
-Maybe using D and I for duo international? Or, use the letters DUO to make the symbol itself. Or just a mark that has meaning to it, Japanese Quality for example.
-A mark that can be used somehow with our Realis sub-brand logo.
