Marula is an independent media and consultancy business that works with socially responsible companies who work with local talents and producers. It is our mission to take the pressing questions that millennials have about the sustainability challenges surrounding the supply chains of agricultural commodities and transform these questions into relevant, trustworthy and impactful content to empower the disconnected farmer to the disconnected consumer. We work on project basis, with our first adventure taking place in the beautiful country of Uganda. We are currently conducting research for the Global Coffee & Tea company Jacobs Douwe Egberts, to create a 15-minute documentary and provide an investment report about the sustainability progress and issues that exist within Uganda's coffee supply chain.
Hint: please google the Marula tree and its applications. It's a southern african tree whose fruits can be used to create alcohol, its nuts are eaten and used in cosmetics and its bark is used for furniture. It is a multi-purpose tree, just like the aim of our company, besides consultancy and documentaries, we are expanding into research collaborations and maggot farming. We want for example to have: Marula Farms, Marula Research, Marula Maggots, Marula Stories and preferably have the sub word below the main Marula head.
In short: We are a Creative Consultancy working in developing countries. I like the font Avenir.

Preferably I would like Marula & the slogan to work together as a logo as well as Marula Stories as the Logo. The 'Stories' should be replaceable by different words like 'Research', 'Maggots', 'Farms'. For this design it's okay to work with the word Stories.
A very important theme is growth, we help agribusinesses grow, the marula tree itself grows. I am thinking, for the design, something that starts from a single origin point (like an abstract seed) and grows into something (an abstract type tree). It's important that people understand that we are a consultancy firm rather than an agriculture firm or tree planting business. Please don't focus too much on trees and plants, although in an abstract form it could be interesting.
