The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) currently manages the delivery of IT infrastructure services to 85 Executive Branch agencies in Georgia and managed network services to 1,300 state and local government entities. In addition, GTA has been tasked with overseeing the construction and development of the $60 million Hull McKnight Georgia Cyber Center for Innovation and Training, which broke ground in Augusta, Georgia in June 2017 and is set to be completed in July 2018. The Georgia Cyber Center aims to enhance cyber security in both government and private sectors and will serve as an incubator for cybersecurity startup companies. It is the single largest investment in a cybersecurity center in the nation. The building will host government, private and educational organizations, bringing all together for collaboration and a shared view of cyber threats. The facility is being developed in partnership with Augusta University. GTA determined that a logo is needed for the center, and that logo will be included on the building façade as well as on all branded collateral materials and online via a website and social media platforms. The logo will need to be designed to optimize all of its uses. Target Audiences: 3. Who are the Georgia Cyber Center’s target audiences? a. Augusta University (and other area schools – K-12 + higher education in Augusta, GA) b. Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) c. U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon (Will be located in Augusta by 2018) d. Startup business owners/entrepreneurs e. U.S based state and local government entities f. Augusta, GA community g. University System of Georgia h. Technical College System of Georgia i. Private sector companies (for use of cyber range)

See creative brief attachment which includes previous rejected designs. Avoid similar looks. What should the logo… a. Convey: Strength, innovation, being impenetrable and secure b. Colors include: The logo should correspond with Augusta University’s logo colors (since the building sits on the school’s campus, it needs to complement their existing brand, but Augusta University does not own the center). AU colors are a navy blue, light gray and white. *Incorporate the Augusta University bell tower in your design. c. Fonts include: Fonts must correspond with Augusta University’s branding. (View the Augusta University branding guide: http://brand.augusta.edu/logos/ ) Other considerations: d. The logo must include an icon or mark since the name of the center is long, and it needs to be used on signage and online platforms e. The entire name of the Center needs to be included in the logo design f. The Georgia State seal will not be incorporated or mimicked, and the logo should NOT have military or government look g. The design should NOT put emphasis on the “Hull McKnight” portion of the name like some of the rejected designs below.
