We are producing a series of music albums entitled Labyrinth. The design will be featured on the album cover and will become the cornerstone for all subsequent designs (marketing, march, etc.)
The labyrinth isn’t an escape; it’s an encounter – an encounter with the self, the darkness, with the unknown. This unknown represents both possibility and danger. Perceiving the mystery involves fear; it is fascinating and terrifying at the same time. Labyrinths were placed outside cathedrals to provide passage from the profane to the sacred. Labyrinths were placed on the flyleaves of manuscripts to symbolize entry into scripture, to be the gateway into sacred texts. This album series is a sonic labyrinth, a song experience to prepare us for passage into the profound, as if to say, “pay attention because we're headed for a deeper dimension.”

The word "Labyrinth" doesn't necessarily need to be included in the logo. It could just be the symbol. Open to both possibilities.
This is a serial project – multiple albums. I believe they will be structured thusly:
1. The Threshold
2. The Maze
3. The Centre
4. The Return
Maybe each album cover is different, intricate and unique? Or perhaps the design is simple/versatile enough that it could be used on each album but with slight variations? Variations on a theme?
