What we’re looking for in a logo:
-- Combination wordmark and abstract logo mark, or wordmark that incorporates logo mark (We may want to add a version with a tagline later)
--No initials (no ‘FFP’) or mascots
--Less interested in emblems as they are pretty typical/overused in this field; if it’s really unique and bold then we’re open to considering it
--Evoke sophisticated, professional, mature, global, well-connected: we can get you in the room with key decision-makers (cabinet ministers, heads of state) and help you have influence. We’re not amateurs.
--Evoke the concept of being ‘fit for purpose’ - practical, real world solutions, not just typical ‘consulting talk’. The “right fit” for your needs and goals.
--NOT sentimental or like a typical charity (NO children, globes, ‘Africa’, heartstrings, hands, etc).
-- We're excited to present a fresh new face for an Africa-focused firm... more sophisticated, urban and modern than the typical stereotypes of this region or this industry.
--There are few firms in our particular niche. Here are three that come close.

-- All three are much larger, more traditional, corporate firms. They have big teams, more administrative costs, more cumbersome to deal with.

--Much more hands-on, engaged, working alongside clients to deliver and help them achieve concrete outcomes.
--Niche expertise in evidence-based, data-driven programs, engaging with world-class researchers and technical experts. Geekier.
--Open to suggestions!
What we’re looking for in a designer:
--This logo contest is just the beginning! We’re looking for someone great that we can continue to work with 1:1 on many other things, including:
-Letterhead, business cards, etc
-Brochures, reports, other collateral
-Website (if possible)
--We’d love to find someone we can establish a long-term working relationship with.
