FINAL NOTE/EDIT: I appreciate all of your time and effort that all of you spent on your submissions so far. Many of them are very good and appeal to me visually and if its primary purpose was for a business card or front of a store, most of these would be great. What I've realized after receiving the submissions I have so far and contemplating them is that I'm really looking for something with more uniqueness that will stand out a little more a and will be both visually appealing, professional, but still also bold and creative. Where people will primarily be seeing this logo will be on real estate signs that will be in the yard of my properties. So most of my target audience will only get a brief passing glance at it while driving by it in their car. So I only have a few seconds in many cases to make that visual first impression and to imprint my logo in their memories for brand recognition. It may be my fault for not providing clear enough direction from the beginning but I've come to realize that most of the concepts submitted so far don't stand out enough from the competition's generic logos or leave enough of a lasting impression, in my opinion. It can be a fine line between bold and weird/too over the top. I would greatly appreciate some designs with a bit more boldness, uniqueness, and creativity - while still trying to maintain a modern professional appearance. I want to stand out and make a real visual impact. My company strives every single day to be the best in our industry, without fail or any excuses. I want my logo to represent this as well. Thank you all again for your submissions so far. Several of you really aren't that far off. But my initial concept phase is almost done and I'd really like to see what everyone can come up with in these last few hours with this additional direction. We buy under valued or under-utilized residential homes and land - and renovate, restore, or rebuild them. Though we would like the logo to look professional, as it will be going on signs and other misc marketing materials - our primary goal for the company’s name (and this logo) is to target motivated sellers who are in a distressed property or life situation and need our help to get them out of the problem. Our target market/demographic covers a wide range of people that have varying levels of income and socio-economic backgrounds - however, one of the larger segments of our target market is often lower income individuals or people going through a difficult season in their life. Hence our company name - Move Forward Solutions. Our goal is to help them move forward with their life while alleviating any stress or pain that us buying their house quickly and reasonably could help. Our market research has indicated that many of these people do not respond as favorably to something that appears “too slick” or too pretentious. So finding the right balance between professional, creative, and modern - while still maintaining an element of simple and not looking like some huge corporate machine that exists to take advantage of them (we are the opposite) is key.

A couple of thoughts. 1) This logo will need to incorporate the name of the company into it. So a combination name + graphic. With that said, the primary use of the logo will be its use on real estate signs placed in the front yard of the company owned properties. Though our signs are relatively large - they can only be so big and we have to fit a decent amount of other text on the signs. Because of this, coupled with the fact that our company name is relatively long - I think it will be important that the logo not be too busy. In other words, I think the logo and company name will need to be integrated together in some way, so as to leave room to both showcase the logo/company name - and still leave room for all of the other text that needs to go on the sign (if there’s too much going on - they won’t see or be able to read anything as they drive by the sign in their car). 2) The font of the company name in the logo is very important to me. Modern and simple while still having a sense of style and creativity. When I see a competitor’s logo in a stale, boring font (Times New Roman, Verdana, etc) - it looks cheap and not well thought out. 3) As we’re really trying to drive home the moving forward part of Move Forward Solutions - I was initially thinking that incorporating an arrow pointing forward into the logo might be a good idea. However, I am NOT 100% married to this concept. I realize it isn’t the most creative thing on the planet, and it wouldn’t have to be the only graphic part of the logo. But again, it can’t be but so busy given its intended use. I am also not opposed to incorporating an image or outline or even just a hint of a house or other fairly obvious real estate related elements into the logo. But I am completely open to looking at any new, thoughtful, creative ideas that could be completely different than my simple arrow thought or the outline of a house, which is obviously commonly used in this industry. I would like to stand out from the competition with my logo. I would like it to turn heads as they drive by my signs. 4) If it helps, the other dual purpose of the logo on the real estate signs is both to drive more seller leads (via a ‘we buy houses’ message at the bottom of the sign) - but the signs also serve as coming soon/for sale signs. So while we buy a lot of run down and distressed properties - we end up putting a lot of time and money into them to rehabilitate houses and neighborhoods. So the houses we build or rebuild and sell are higher end. So I would still like the logo to have a broad, mass appeal that doesn’t turn off potential buyers of our completely renovated or rebuilt houses. However, if we’re prioritizing which size we’re catering more to - especially in this current ultra sellers-market, our homes often ‘sell themselves’ to a large degree. So the priority definitely goes to catering to the home sellers that we buy our (usually distressed) houses from, while not alienating or turning off potential home buyers on the other end of the equation.
