We want the text, Colibrí, and also some sort of symbol/icon that we can use together or separately (i.e. for our Twitter icon or in a sticker etc).
Ideas for symbols:
- We don't want a hummingbird in our logo unless it's unique and special!! (Colibrí means hummingbird in Spanish). Whatever the final package is, we just want to be able to separate the text and the symbol so that we can use them separately in situations when need be. If you look at other companies called "Colibrí," all their logos look exactly the same. So go ahead and give a shot at something inspired by a hummingbird if it is special and interesting.
- We had an idea to use the "í" in Colibrí incorporated into a power button symbol that we could use i.e. on shirts, stickers, etc. so maybe you could start here but don't ONLY focus on that! So far we haven't gotten too many we life.
- maybe try out a hummingbird or a parachute or hot air balloon-- signifying delivery or access
A very common marketing tactic in Latin America is painting logos/ads on walls-- thus, the logo cannot be extremely intricate that it is impossible to pain to simplify at all to paint. (i.e. the sample sketch we attached with the lines in the font is too complicated to paint, but could be okay solid)
We are currently going through a rebrand-- our previous name was "SolarRoute". We changed our name so that we could be more memorable for our customers-- we also wanted to drop "solar" from the name because it's what we're focusing on now but not necessarily exclusively for the future-- think about this: products come and go but distribution is forever and has value for everyone, always. we'll attach some sketches, etc, but feel free to start from scratch.
This is a direct to consumer good! Our customers SEE our products and our logo, our signs, etc! It should make them feel happy, excited, trustworthy, etc! It has to stand out and be memorable BUT NOT INVASIVE and ugly among a bunch of other logo such as Coca Cola, Movistar, Claro, Tip Top, Maggi, Toro, LG, blu, Samsung, etc... Dont make them feel like they work in some boring high tech office and hate their desk job... it shouldn't be high tech or unrelatable looking. I'm also attaching our old logo.
