Quiénes somos
We are an academic computational biology lab carrying out research on gene regulation and epigenetics. The logo can't be just DNA - please read the description below, carefully. We are looking for a logo for the Cistrome project, which is a suite of computational tools and databases for the analysis of cistromes (http://cistrome.org). The word "cistrome" refers to "the set of cis-acting targets (DNA) of a trans-acting factor (protein) on a genome-wide scale, also known as the in vivo genome-wide location of transcription factor binding-sites or histone modifications". Please see the reference figures below for protein inspiration. We build integrative analyses to help experimental biologists conduct efficient data integration to better mine the hidden biological insights from publicly available high throughput genomics data. Please note that we are not looking for a generic computational biology logo. There also needs to be a component that suggests some interaction between proteins and DNA/the genome.

The images show protein-DNA interactions, which is an important aspect of Cistrome. The cis part is related to DNA, the tr(ans) part is the protein and "ome" refers to genome-wide maps of these protein-DNA interactions. Another aspect to keep in mind is that Cistrome is also about computation and data.
