Design the future "Daily Bagels Cafe" logo and brand identity!!

Daily Bagels Cafe provides an assortment of bagels, croissants, cookies, danishes, muffins, sandwhiches and other pastries. In addition, it will have a full service coffee and barista bar providing local roasters from the San Diego area. The target audience is a mixture of young professionals heading to work and the office administrator or boss looking to provide incentives. The location will be close to a new hospital and expect patient families and hospital staff to use the location.

I am attaching pictures of the exterior/interior of the building. We should have designed the logo first, but the interior space has been constructed before a logo developed. Ideally the logo would have driven some of the design ideas and colors, but still can. with that said, realize the colors of the interior will not materially change. A key element will be the exterior is the windows. The plan is to use vinyl to place the logo on about 1/4 to 1/3 of the larger glass window in the center. We will also be using vinyl to cover the smaller wood grain panels at the bottom with a color consistent with the logo colors (they are very old and cant be reached). As with any logo, there are differing opinions on brand versus advertising and this needs to straddle both in a contemporary way to satisfy stakeholders. simple iconography to identify the business from a distance may also be helpful. The business is attached to an existing restaurant and actually served as the outdoor patio in the past. The existing business sells burgers, bbq, and other casual sit down food. The business has existed for 30 years and there is a desire to give the bagel shop its own identity. We may use in other signage so it needs to be scalable. Vector logo This will be done mostly with the logo, vinyl applications on windows and images.
