Synnøve Finden was born in 1882 in a beautiful little hamlet in Norway's longest and deepest fjord. As a milkmaid, Synnøve gained an insight into farming.
In 1928 Synnøve opened a cheese factory in Oslo with a partner, producing cheese to a high standard. Synnøve carefully protected her recipes and ideas, and patented several of her cheeses.
These days, the Synnøve product range includes a range of cheeses, yogurt, crackers, granola and juice, manufactured out of two modern facilities in Norway.
