C8 provides a global framework of interconnectivity that enables people to share their data and consume content.
The keywords I would use to describe the company are:
empowerment, connectivity, privacy, innovation, control, data, transactions, digital media, engagement, attention.
Colours that would probably suit this are some vibrant shades of purple and green, or possibly purple and blue. Please consider the use of combined colours through geometric design elements, either inside the typography or as a backing.
I have attached a very rough mood board to give some consideration on colour, in addition to a second image which has a couple of logo references in it.
The logo should:
- high impact, powerful and vibrant without becoming intrusive or overbearing.
- consumer facing and modern, but not 'gimmicky'
- full of energy, but not messy (as if the energy is controlled in the design)
- full logo can have depth and vibrancy, but it should also be suitable as a flattened image
The brand name C8 was created as an abbreviation of the word "Catallaxy", an alternative expression for the word 'economy'.
Whereas the word economy suggests that people in a community possess a common and congruent set of values and goals, catallaxy suggests that the emergent properties of a market (prices, division of labor, growth, etc.) are the outgrowths of the diverse and disparate goals of the individuals in a community.
