Our Organization Name: GEBIS (Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute Society) Chinese name:傳燈寺 Describe what our organization do: The Buddhist Monastery with largest amount of monks in north America. What we do: 1. To foster generations of qualified monastics who possess rigorous Buddhist training, noble character, and a passion for altruism. 2.To engage in diverse work and causes, and to preserve Buddhism as a precious human cultural heritage in the world. 3.To promote the happiness of all living beings through Buddhist education and inner cultivation. 4.For more information, please visit our official website: http://gebis.org The logo should aptly: 1.Compassion and wisdom should be well represented, they are two main motives of Buddhism, which is also our core values. 2.How to make the traditional Chinese Buddhist style with the modern form. 3.And the second is since our monastery is located in Canada, we also want to add a little bit element of western culture on it. 4.Do Not use elements like Buddha himself, dharma wheel or animals in the logo. 5.Designers can also incorporate elements such as lotus, light, radiance, sun, heart,Buddhi leaf, and Sutras (Buddhist Scriptures) We wish to have a logo that is by itself representative of the values, without words or slogan. We would also like the designer to suggest the font choices of the name of our foundation if we wishes to pair the two elements together.
