The data about climate change is intimidating. The situation is so dire that we can’t just make minor changes, like turning off the lights more. Instead, we need to take millions of tons of CO2 out of our atmosphere. We’ve got to overhaul our energy and transportation infrastructures. And we've got a lot of work to do in regenerative agriculture, reversing biodiversity loss, and creating a circular economy.
But these major shifts aren’t going to happen on their own in the short window of time we’ve got. In order to sufficiently address our climate crisis, we need climate policy.
National policy isn’t a viable option right now, so we’re focused on getting climate policy passed in Colorado (and eventually expanding throughout the Mountain West.) Specifically within Colorado, legislators are being heavily lobbied by oil & gas. So we need to bring a more powerful voice to the table to pass bold climate policy. The tech industry is much more powerful in CO than oil & gas (creating $10B more in economic activity and employing 50k more people), and legislators will listen to what tech leaders have to say.
Signal Climate Coalition engages tech leaders in climate policy advocacy. We do the work for our members- coordinating with environmental experts, policy organizations, and political workers- to get clear on what policies need to be passed, and how we’re going to do it. We reach out to our coalition members only when it’s actually worth their time, and we do as much of the legwork for them as possible. Along the way, we provide practical, digestible content about what’s happening politically, give insights into what innovative tech solutions are being tested for the climate crisis, and host some amazing events with legislators, tech leaders, and environmental experts.
Our target audience is C-suite executives at tech companies in Colorado. Our audience cares about the climate crisis, loves getting shit done, and resonates with brands that feel cool and have uncluttered aesthetics.
