We're producing retro-style running apparel. Think https://www.tracksmith.com/ or https://www.iffleyroad.com/. We are targeting ambitious amateur runners that don't want to look silly in all the neon-coloured compression, and are going for the classic forms and inspiration from the early days of competitive running. "Once a runner" is a book that describes our attitude well enough.

Fartlek, which means "speed play" in Swedish, is a training method that blends continuous training with interval training. Fartlek runs are a very simple form of a long distance run. Fartlek training “is simply defined as periods of fast running intermixed with periods of slower running."
There are various running-related animals that could be on the logo, if the designer deems it a good idea. For example:
1. A pacer (person who sets the pace for the race) is often called a rabbit or a hare.
2. The group of runners participating in a cross-country race are often called harriers (following the pacer, hunting for the hare)
3. There is a very famous quote in "Once a runner" that goes like this: "It's a lean wolf that leads the pack"
4. There are various running clubs that have these running animals in their names, e.g. "Victoria Park Harriers", "Dashing Whippets", "Thames Hare and Hounds"
We don't require the name of the company in the logo (although if you think it should be there, we trust your judgement), just looking for this authentic feeling for retro-meets-contemporary.
