Design for Print Design Sign Business.

We are a small but growing design, printing and now sign business. The business has been operating for about 10 years and I bought the business 3 1/2 years ago. 6 months ago I invested in large format printing equipment and have become "Your One Stop Print Shop".
So we do design work, offset & digital printing, signs & merchadise ie stubby holders, hats, shirts etc.

I am looking to stand out from the rest in town with a new flash logo.
Targeting all other local businesses, I want to keep the clients that I have but also attract other businesses that we are not doing work for.
These businesses are such as accountants, builders, plumbers, horse racing groups, local councils, sporting clubs. I also want to get a website going and look at getting work from all over Australia.

I am looking for a logo that is going to blow people away!! Really stand out.
I have the capabilities to really promote this new logo. I am thinking huge shop frontage signage, complete vehicle wraps, advertising on billboards, the back of busses, website, A Frames, flags, the works.
I want this to be a special logo that will make people look at my signage, stationery etc and not even think about going elsewhere.
I do like the colours of our current logo. It is a mixture of dark and light greens with splashes of other bright colours like orange, yellow and purple.
The problem is it looks a little bit "Cartoon Like" not professional enough.
I don't know if I need a logo as such or to change the wording?
People do not seem to know what we do?
I need to sell what we do better and hopefully this new logo will work.
So basically, something modern, new, colourful that stands out from the rest. I need to get across to people that we do design, offset & digital printing, signs & merchandise.

I want a logo that can be used easily and go on cars, signs etc. Something I can ad colour to.
