"Guldplats Karlsborg" is a new brand for municipality Karlsborg in Sweden. This logo will be used for their new concept aiming destination and tourism. The name it self belongs of two Swedish words. The name "Guldplats" is direct translated into "place of gold". Karlsborg is direct translated to "Fortress/castle of Karl".
In this case the word Guldplats (place of gold) is most important because it resembles a destination where gold once was stored (in the Fortress of Karl) and at the same time it describe the many places around Karlsborg that are beautiful destinations, places of gold.
Here comes the challenging part! Even though these places of gold are easy portrayed with graphic elements like wood/trees, seas, the fortress, a river and so on. It is very important for the customer that the logo doesn't exclude what the visitors associates with the many places of gold in Karlsborg. Therefore, when it comes to graphic elements/symbols in the logo we're looking for something that can represent many places, a circle that combine all these places or in other ways can express the broad variety of destinations without excluding :)

The colors that they want to use is based on the destinations. Blue for the water, Green for the forest and Gold/yellow for the fortress. I'll think we'll use these colors in textures, backgrounds and different stationary things later. Maybe also a version of the logo. But we'll probably go for black, white or grey tones.
