Product: Currently, Dialogues with Chris Miller is a radio show for educated, well informed sports fans; this will eventually include podcasts and blogs. All of this will evolve from just sports - to include satirical, philosophical social commentary (think Louis CK). The logo therefore can't have a sports theme - think more intellectual, cutting edge, commentary about the world and its future.
Target: Educated, socially conscious, politically engaged younger adults (think Millennials - 20-34 years) with a sarcastic view of the world.

This is for my son.
A bit about his personality and interests as I think it will help when you design logo ideas: he is into high style, high-performance top-end products; he was a philosophy and literature major in college, is inspired by the classic philosophers, to no surprise his personality type is "debater" (smart and curious thinkers who cannot resist an intellectual challenge), and thinks of himself as a philosopher; he has a bold personality and is very outspoken.
The logo should NOT be cute or casual - nor should it have a sports them as his show, etc. will evolve from just sports.
