Our customers tend to be experienced school system administrators. They have usually worked their whole lives in school systems, starting as teachers, moving into a principal role, and finally earning promotions to supervisory positions in central administrative offices. In many cases, they are very well educated, often holding Masters and Ph.D. degrees in fields like Public Policy and Education. In all cases, they value education very highly. We are focused exclusively on customers based in the U.S.
Our name is a contraction of "education savant", implying that our products have a unique insight into the schools that use them. Another association is "adjuvant", which is a drug that magnifies the effect of another medication (but is harmless by itself); just as data on its own won't improve the education system, but instructional approaches and school management could certainly be improved through better data use.
Our products are based in the cloud and we are approaching the challenges of school district data use in a different way. We are not just one more bulky enterprise solution.
Words we hope other people would use to describe our products: innovative, intelligent, data-driven, integrative, platform, educational, user-friendly, flexible, lightweight.
We don't want to be a 'cute' brand, so would like to avoid traditional representations of school (e.g., apples, pencils, etc.).
