GreenEdge
GreenEdge is all about edgy clothes for kids. But there's more...the company only designs and sells fashion that is eco-friendly. From the cotton grown, the processes used to turn it into fabric, to the final assembly...it all has to be safe for mother earth.
After building the largest online source of eco-fashion for kids with the help of over 30 passionate eco designers, GreenEdge has decided to introduce a new line of designer denim for children ages 8-14.
It is now time to take the fun face of "GreenEdge Kids" at http://www.greenedgekids.com and turn it into a truly edgy fashion label.
The audience includes: 1) moms, and 2) their children, and 3) the fashion industry.
1. Moms
*Who care about designer brands
*Who wear designer denim such as Rock & Republic, Seven, True Religion, etc.
*Want their children to wear stylish / edgy clothes
*Ideally care about the environment...seeking sustainable clothing.
2. Children
By age eight, kids start to care about the way they dress and look. Mom's customary role of helping to choose what they wear on a daily basis becomes less prominent and is nearly non-existent once kids become teenagers. While mom may still be the primary purchaser, kids are very opinionated about what they want and don't want to wear.
We need to appeal to the new generation of kids...both boys and girls.
3. Fashion Industry
Sustainable apparel has media attention and fashion and celebrity interest. When Earth Pledge produced its 2008 Future Fashion Show, it invited international designers to participate, and it provided them with samples of hundreds of sustainable fabric choices. Participating designers and design houses included Stella McCartney, Yves St. Laurent, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Versace, Givenchy, Burberry and many more. The event made “eco-fashion” a popular term.
We want "green" to be the key ingredient that differentiates us...not to mention a great designer fit.
We need a logo that kids, moms, and the fashion industry will see and recognize.

Desired Color Theme:
No limits on color choice.
Desired Style:
Anything edgy / stylish
Example logo font used http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/fonthe…raft-hand/
Connection with current logo:
Our current logo consists of a cotton ball and a child which together form a tree (representing nature or mother earth). Children are the roots of the tree...representing the message that being environmentally conscious must begin with our kids. We'd prefer to leverage this same icon/theme in a more edgy logo.
Accepted File Formats:
Any vector file
Files:
The logo symbol itself can be identifiable even without the text. We'll need two files: 1) The graphic w/o wording that can be used on a denim button (assuming there's more than text), and 2) complete logo with text.
The logo will be used for an upscale denim line that sells in high-end stores.
