“Bobbio Ride” is an Italian startup active in the eBike (eMTB) renting with additional services. The company name combines the word Bobbio which is a small town in the Emilia Romagna region in Italy and Ride which is obvious for eBike renting but in Italian language means “smiles”. So you can read it in both languages. Bobbio was appointed in December 2019 as the most beautiful “Borgo” ( means Village) in Italy, so it’s increasingly known and the tourists affluence is improving. Bobbio is a great place for many unique things. First of all from the nature of the valley ( Val Trebbia) where is located and then for historical monuments such as an ancient roman bridge, an important abbey, a cathedral, a castle, the history of San Colombano, the quality of food and wines, the hospitality of local people and the fantastic Trebbia river, hills, mountains and places around it. The valley cross the Appennini mountains down to the Tirrenian Sea and is well known by motorbike riders due to the nice roads full of nice views and turns. Coming back to the Bobbio Ride company, we’ve decided to launch it because the offer of quality sport and recreational activities is limited in town and tourists are primarily coming for the other attractions today. But the potential tracks for MTB and eMTB is really high and there is an increasing interest from local riders that are buying an eBike and exploring the surroundings. This, combined with the proximity of big cities like Milan ( 75 minutes far by car) and Piacenza ( 40 minutes) with hundred thousands of eBike enthusiast or potential enthusiast , put this valley and place in a position to be one of the most attractive for this kind of sport. Bobbio Ride will open from March to October, in 2021, the first year of activity and will offer eBike rentals for half and full day, tours, enduro and trail training courses from beginner level to expert and will combine the rent and sale of accessories related to eBike touring and enduro activities. Bobbio Ride tours will include the bundling with local restaurants located on the tracks and with hotels that can provide directly the rental in the room fee. Bobbio Ride rentals, tours and training is targeting people from different level, age and personal objectives, thanks to its ability to propose easy rides with basic difficulty level to hard enduro and down-hill tracks and related training. Bobbio Ride must be perceived as an experience for everyone interested in health style of life in respect for the nature, by sharing this with other people, friends or simply within the family. The aim of the sharaholders is to build up a company with an high quality of services and with a repeatable business in other strategical places in Italy in the next years. Bobbio Ride will develop a social presence and promote its activity online and with local events. Bobbio Ride eBikes will be of high quality and brand new. A shop will open in Bobbio soon. The logo and web sites must be modern, sustainable due to the green factor, dynamic but not extreme, innovative and repeatable by changing the town name (eg. <tow name> Ride). A pay -off is welcome but not mandatory. Bobbio Ride is an initiative of some solid and passionated investors and managers with a high degree of experience on launching new ventures, consulting and company management.
