Project Goal: GMHCN seeks a new logo to incorporate into existing print and digital products. The successful logo will meet the following criteria:
-Is easily recognizable at any scale and in monochrome
-Utilizes clean, modern lines (logo should not be on trend, but should be stylistically viable for at least 7-10 years)
-Incorporates or is compatible with GMHCN brand font (MB Empire Heavy, MB Empire Book, Adobe Jenson Pro Regular)
-Is easy to print/embroider legibly on a range of promotional products (t-shirts, bags, water bottles, key chains, etc)
-Is delivered in *PSD file (with design elements on individual layers) 1,000 x 1,000 pixels at 600dpi; and *EPS file (working 100% vector file) 10-15 megabytes with any text outlined
-Utilizes green (the color of mental health) as the primary color element. Other color schemes (complementary, analogous, triadic) may be utilized; however, no gradients may be used. All colors must be submitted with CMYK and RGB decimal codes. Red may not be included.
Thematic considerations: Concepts that may be considered for visual representation: Hope, wellness, recovery, collaboration, health, empathy, humanity, creativity, compassion, friendship, kindness, support, community, happiness, joy, love, strength, self-direction, purpose, possibility, progress, reliability, innovation, forward movement, warmth, and relationships.
Note to designers: The outline of the State of Georgia and the peach (the official fruit of the state), while excellent design shorthand for Georgia-specific organizations, are in heavy use by many organizations. Designers incorporating these elements should perform due diligence to ensure no similar graphic is being employed by another organization. Similarly, images commonly used for human service organizations (people holding hands, etc) should be avoided unless a truly innovative design solution can be realized. The human brain should not appear in any graphic in any form.
