Eyecatching logo for vintage/record/gaming shop

We are a small business in this historic district of our town. We sell retro/vintage goods, records, and old gaming systems, as well as showcasing local artists. We are targeting High School through Gen X.

Our colors are orange, black/grey, and white. At this point we don't have a specific shade of orange, and would be open to logos that include other colors, as well, so long as the orange stands out.

A few things about our shop. We are in a neighborhood called "Old Town", hence the name. It is the oldest part of our city, and has a very laid back, almost hipster vibe throughout. Our city has a university, and a lot of college students hang out in this area. We are remodeling the building for this, and look to have exposed vaulted ceilings, exposed brick, and lots of wood incorporated throughout the building. We are painting the building black with white trim and pops of orange, which is why we figure that this is a good color scheme for the logo as well. I have gone through this process twice before, both for another business of mine and for a non-profit that I represented. I love interacting with artists, working through things together, and I provide feedback liberally all along the way. For this logo, I am very open to a wide array of ideas. I hope that you'll have fun and get to be really creative! The winner of this contest will provide a logo that feels fresh and appropriate for our target audience. It won't be a repeat of logos that we have seen a thousand times before. It will have a strong visual appeal and will not be *just* the words in a unique font. It will be something that looks great as a sticker and on a t-shirt. If you have ANY questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
