Fans With Cans is an international, grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to providing food and assistance to food pantries and shelters 365 days a year. Through concerts, events, and individual entertainers, we create food drives and fund raisers to feed people in need. Fans With Cans entertainers and businesses, nationwide, provide food outlets with a steady stream of non-perishable food by accepting donations of food, money, and/or time.
As the number of Americans in-need increases during these uncertain economic times, the importance of these donations — during non-peak donation periods — becomes critical.
The people who we help are hungry families.
The people who make donations are ANY people attending ANY multi-person function. From slumber parties to church sermons to 40,000 concerts to weddings... And the entertainers and/or hosts of the event are the ones responsible for getting the food to the shelters, then reporting to us.
Our demographic market is NOT just wealthy people — it's often people who don't have money, they just have an extra can of food. We collect more non-perishable food items than we do money. So the logo needs to appeal to folks with huge hearts, regardless of their economic status.
Since 1997 we've fed over 110,000 families across 4 states... without monetization; without marketing; and without being 501c3. This will be a HIGHLY visible and successful organization, kind of like an established start up. ;-D
