I'd like to have "Fort X" (Black or Dark Brown) at the top of the logo in heavy Western Font, with a picture of one of the original Pony Express horse sketches or pictures (moving left to right), and at the bottom have "A Store At Your Door" in another Western Font (Black or Dark Brown). Somewhere inside the logo, or just outside the logo (? oval or square scroll ?), have "fortx.ca" in another type of easily read Western Font that is in an off-red color. Maybe in an old melted red wax stamp-like format.
I really like the original Pony Express Logo with its simplicity of an oval, name, horse image, and date. I'd just want to bring a bit of modern touches to it. I'm open to many different formats and layouts, but there is a possibility that this service may start its own "Fort X" line of jackets next year, so I'd like the logo to be versatile, simple, and to convey authenticity with a sense of old fashioned hard work to appeal to the blue-collar worker. Have some fun with this, look at some original wanted posters, and old newspaper fonts, or advertisements, and see what you can come up with.
Keep it simple, fun, original, and authentic, and my customers will probably love it.
