I'm a former corporate/executive chef of 30 years that worked for Goldman Sachs, Electronic Arts, Warner Brothers Studios, British Consulate, Brennan Family Restaurants, American Skiing Company, Vail Resorts and so on. I'm starting a food and travel blog from my point of view. I intend to travel to local farms, ranches, artisan cheese makers and food festivals around the world. Upon my return from those locations I'm going to show how to make the items that I featured through photographs and interviews. Case in point, I'm going to the Oak Street PoBoy Festival in New Orleans this November. I will interview both people I know and how the festival works and performs. I will show my readers how to make everything from scratch and where to source things in their community.
My style of cooking would be Donald Link crossed with David Burke and Charlie Trotter.
My target audience is the foodie culture between 20-70. I hope to focus on seasonal products. How to get them and how to prepare them.
In a nutshell this blog will be similar to Anthony Bourdain's show (No Reservations, Points Unknown) with the exception that I will bring these experiences back to home kitchens and how to reproduce them for yourself.
