Miss Green Planet
We are a team of radical environmental activists who are not only very concerned about the state of mother earth, but are a little bit impatient with the greenwashing and the hype and the lip-service to the environment. Several years of discussion has led to the creation of Green Responsibility Outreach (GRO) as the true 21st century green marketing tool that replaces the time-worn soul-less CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). The Miss Green Planet is seen as a vehicle to help nurture a new generation of green activists, green models and green spokespeople for Corporate Green Responsibility. The Miss Green Planet debuts in Chicago, Illinois in September 2011. Regional, continental and national pageants start in December 2010. The Miss Green Planet becomes the 4th largest, among the most prestigious and probably the most important pageant in the World--after Miss Earth, Miss Universe and Miss World. Out of these international "big three", it is Miss Earth which portrays itself as an "environmental pageant". Miss Green Planet, thus, become the second largest environmental pageant in the world. It is bound to shake things within the international pageantry, as well as instill some hope and excitement in the fight against climate change and environmental movement as a whole. It's slogan is "Beauty for Eco-Change". It is a project-based pageant, as opposed to platform-based.

Young college-bound women and men mostly between 18 and 30, as well as environmentally conscious members of the population. The corporate world and media are also a target constituency. The pageant aims to have a broad appeal in all sectors of society- so that it is recognized as playing an important role in combating climate change and restoring destroyed ecosystems. Out of this group, the most important target group is young women who should immediately recognize the potential potency of the pageant in offering them a chance for actualizing their passion for environment. They can use the pageant experience as a vehicle to develop an understanding of who they are, what their life purpose is, create dynamic communication skills, learn time management and balance, strengthen their relationships, and establish a way of thinking that enables them to create the life they want to live, while helping heal the earth.
The logo should depict the real status of Miss Green Planet Pageant as a powerful event. Powerful events are are those that have a status of their own, that is separate from their relationship with commercial sponsors. An event that is respected and achieves substantial publicity on its own account will almost certainly have a powerful image or aura of its own among a wide public.
Please find the logos of the other three international pageants: 1. Miss World, 2. Miss Universe and Miss Earth. We really admire the Miss World logo--simple, but truly elegant and almost regal. As a designer of the Miss Planet Logo, you should pull no stops in depicting prestigie,glamor &glitter. Apart from Miss World, the Miss Star Tourism comes closest to what we would like. Below are key elements of the logo--NO 3D form at all. The images should be flat on the page.

6. Atmosphere of excitement, glamor. The ring-like photo helps demonstrate.
7. Elegant lettering. An example is attached showing the "Elite" model lettering.
8. The Brand name should actually be 2 words--"Miss and Planet, with the word Green in small letters sitting on top of the larger word "Planet". This is actually "Miss Planet". The word "Green" simply describes what type of planet.
