Complete College Planning Solutions
We're a college planning company. We help students get into the college of their dreams, and help parents pay for it without going broke. Because we advise clients about such a critical -- and expensive -- decision, we have to be very professional. But our personalities are friendly and warm. Rather than intimidate folks with facts and figures, our approach is more an arm around the shoulder type of approach. At the same time, we help families save thousands of dollars off the college bill every year.
We offer 2 tracks -- a parent track and a student track. The parent track is all about the money: how to maximize financial aid, scholarships, etc., and pay for college with the least out-of-pocket expense. The student track is all about making you more attractive to your choice schools, and incorporates about 10 different services, from SAT prep to college essay writing to interview skills.
Parents of college-bound high school students. Most often they come to us in their junior or senior year of high school. Our 'sweet spot' client is a business owner earning $150,000/year, with at least 2 kids going to college. Usually it's the Moms who initiate contact with us.
Considering that 4 years at a good college costs $200,000+, these parents are nervous and stressed out -- even a bit panicked. There are so many choices, they don't know where to begin. Plus there's lots of conflicting advice out there, so they don't know where to turn.
Some are highly competitive; their #1 goal is to have a "name" college bumper sticker for their car.
Between SAT's and school work and the kid's activities, there's lots of stress and tension going on. Parents need to be calmed and reassured that everything is going to be alright. We're going to help them send their kids to a good school, without draining their retirement fund.
Most want the best for their kids, and want to give them every advantage.
Our desire is to upgrade a logo that looks like it was designed in the 1960's -- not in a cool, retro way, but in a tired, old, best-days-are-behind-me way. I will attach a copy of the offending logo, so you know what we DON'T want.
Keep in mind that we'll be using this logo for all our communication pieces -- business cards, flyers, stationary, website, order forms, etc. Because our name is so long and cumbersome, the logo can't use giant letters, for example, because it won't fit on business cards, websites, e-mail, etc.
