MAPO Research is my freelance business providing market and & policy research to private companies and think tanks.
I research and write reports on a variety of topics such as government & policy, environment, energy, medical, new products, social policies, etc.
Organisations come to me to quickly and efficiently understand how certain things (for example, policies in place) work in different countries.
The value of my work lies in providing research on various countries at one, using sources in different local languages: English, French, Brazilian Portuguese and German.
My target audience is private companies, think tanks, consultancies and market research agencies. They are not part of the creative industries.
While I therefore need a "serious" looking logo, I also want to allow myself a touch of fantasy.
There are three elements I would imagine in the logo:
- A planet globe: Represents the international coverage, which is the essence of the business. For visuals, the most important continents to appear would be Europe and America (North and South).
In my mind, this element can potentially be swapped for country flags serving as make-up on face of fox (see third point). But I know it may be too much.
- A rose: This is a reference to my surname, which literally means "rose tree".
- Here comes the touch of fantasy: A fox - as a smart, curious, and simply, beautiful/majestic animal.
Please feel free to play around with these elements as you see fit. If you think another animal would be more suitable, you are welcome to give it a go. Feel free also to remove some of the items I mentioned if you think it is too much. They are what I had in mind, but I am open to your creative suggestions.
The one thing I need to avoid is something looking too cute, cartoonish or childish.
No preferences in terms of colors.
Thank you very much!
