Background: Real Food (Bay Area) CSA (http://www.realfoodbayarea.com) is a delivery service delivering high quality, organic (although not all certified) nutritious foods to the Bay area. We have 30 neighborhood locations throughout the bay area, which are usually people’s homes. The items are delivered in coolers to the locations and then customers come to pick up from those central locations. The point of entry for our customers is usually Claravale Raw milk, Mission Mountain Pastured organic eggs or Three Stone Hearth (a community kitchen that makes weekly nutritious meals), but we also have many other products that we deliver including meat, fish, cheese, beverages, etc.
I have been given the opportunity by a licensed raw milk diary to have a private label for their raw milk. This means I need to have a logo or design for the milk bottle. I currently do not have any specific brand logo for my company. Therefore, I am at a junction where I either need to come up with a logo for just the milk or for my business as a whole. If I go with just the milk then I envision a simple logo with a cow and the company name. If I go with something that can be used for the business and the milk, then it needs something that encompasses our whole concept, but that is also relevant to be on a milk bottle.
For reference the competitive brands for the milk are Claravale (http://claravalefarm.com/), Organic Pastures (http://www.organicpastures.com/), Straus (http://strausfamilycreamery.com/), and St Benoit (http://www.stbenoit.com/).
If I go with the business logo, and therefore branding the business, I am willing to change the look and feel of the website to reflect that. So I am not bound to keeping with the current look and feel or current color etc.
You can choose if you want to design a logo for just the milk bottle or for the business as a whole.
