Greater Impact is a comprehensive leadership development program designed for young adults who aspire to contribute to building global peace. Greater Impact is the main project of Global Peace Youth Corps-USA (GPYC-USA). This program equips young adults with the practical skill sets and provide the even more necessary values-based education as they strive to become successful leaders and people of conscience in the process of creating an ethical society and world.
Through experiential learning, young adults discover and develop their unique God-given abilities and gain the tools necessary to strengthen their innovative capacity. Greater Impact challenges participants to rise to a new level of personal growth and self-awareness by recognizing and then overcoming any emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual obstacles. In turn, participants become more aware of those around them and will learn to work cooperatively and collaboratively with their comrades in a team setting.
Greater Impact has several different modules in order to create a holistic leadership development experience for young adults. All modules have a values-based component to guide participants to develop their character and inner moral compass. Some modules will challenge participants to become physically fit and more disciplined. Others will challenge participants to be competent in public speaking, to develop project management and organizational skills, hone communication and interpersonal relationship skills and be financially self-sufficient.
Modules include global exchange programs, outdoor adventure programs (mountains, ocean, sky), visitations to the United Nations and Washington DC, tours to innovative companies like Google and Youtube, international conventions, door-to-door sales, and other opportunities. Target audience ages is 18-25. We recently bought a URL (http://www.greater-impact.org). We don't have anything up right now, but we do have our organization's website you can look at if you need more ideas (http://www.globalpeaceyouth.org).
